Terms

Prices quoted in event contracts are guaranteed for sixty (60) days prior to the event. Prices and menus on our website are subject to change.

Quantities do not allow for seconds at buffets, so please order extra if seconds are desired or if your group contains large eaters. (As a general rule, order 10% extra.)

To guarantee the appropriate amount of food is served for your event, a final guest count will be required ten (10) days prior to the date of the event. Any guest count changes after that date may be for an increase in number of guests only. If no changes are made to the guest count after the confirmation date, your bill will reflect your confirmed number of guests and food will be prepared for that number of guests. Once Caterer has received the contract and the deposit, Client guarantees a minimum of 90% of the guest count stated on the contract.

50% due with signed contract; balance due on date/time of event.

Under some circumstances, arrangements may be made as follows:
25% due with signed contract; 25% of balance due on the 1st day of the
month prior to event; balance due on date/time of event.

We accept payment by cash or check. For some events, payment may be required by certified funds. Credit cards are accepted, but will increase the overall bill by 2.5%

We will gladly arrange for the delivery to your event of tables, chairs, linens, glassware, flatware, serving pieces, flowers and even tents if you need to create your own space for your event. Please ask us for details.

12 months before the event: 10% of the total bill

6 month prior to the event: 25% of the total bill

3 months prior to the event: 50% of the total bill

1 month prior to the event: 60% of the total bill

1 week prior to the event: 80% of total bill

24 hours prior to the event: 90% of the total bill

6% sales tax will be applied to the entire portion of balance.

4% Henrico Meals tax will be applied to the food portion of the balance.

Tax-exemption forms must be completed at the time of contract signing.

Providing outstanding service is our mission. Any gratuity offered to our staff is entirely at the discretion of the client and not required. 100% of any gratuity paid by clients goes directly to our servers.

Attending chefs, servers, bartenders, and general utility personnel are required for fully serviced events. The number required is at the discretion of Champagne Taste and will cost the client $20.00 per hour, per staff person. If your actual event extends beyond the contracted time, your will be charged $35.00 per staff member, per hour. Staff duties include all logistics on the contract.

The price per person includes: food, labor to make food, site visits, coordination of rentals, flowers, music, etc., unlimited emails and phone calls with questions about your event. Rentals taxes, additional servers, set-up and break down of rentals, event planning and other purchases are not included in the price per person.

For larger events, we are happy to provide representative samples of a limited menu you are considering. Note that the purpose of a tasting is to give you a feel for whether you like our food, by letting you try a few samples of our proposed menu.

Champagne Taste shall not be liable for any damages to the client, client’s guests and invitees in the event that circumstances beyond the control of Champagne Taste interfere with the performance of the function as scheduled. Circumstances which may result in such interference shall include, but not be limited to, labor disputes, strikes, government control, restrictions or regulations on travel, site operation, commodities or supplies, accidents, acts of war or acts of God.

The client undertakes to conduct the function in an orderly manner, in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and site rules. The client assumes full responsibility for the conduct of all persons in attendance and for any damage done to any part of the site premises or theft of property.

Champagne Taste will not be responsible for the affixing of anything to the walls, floor or ceilings of rooms with nails staples, tape or any other substances unless approval is given by the management of the site.

Champagne Taste reserves the right to make reasonable substitutions if unable to secure specified items. Client will be informed of any changes whenever possible.

Leftovers will be disposed of at the discretion of Champagne Taste.

Champagne Taste is not responsible for the culinary quality or safety of any foods beyond the time span of the function.

Champagne Taste retains the right to refuse to prepare or serve foods provided by the client.

Client understands that guests are required to leave the premises by the stated “End” time as listed on the contract.

Champagne Taste reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to any guest and will not serve alcohol to underage guests.

The client will be responsible for loss or damage to any rental items delivered to event site in advance of contract date.
